Matthew was called to the Bar in 2015 after completing pupilage with Mr. Albert Yau, Mr Anthony Cheung, Mr. Bruce Tse and Ms. Wing Kay Po. He is developing a broad civil and criminal practice.
In his civil practice, Matthew has appeared (both as led junior and sole advocate) at the High Court and District Court. He frequently appears in hearings in relation to companies winding-up matters, commercial, contractual, matrimonial and land disputes, as well as interlocutory applications. He also has experience in matters concerning personal injuries and rendered advice in relation to listing matters and employment disputes.
In his criminal practice, Matthew regularly appears on behalf of both the Prosecution and Defence in the Magistrate Courts.
Matthew is currently a member of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs & Human Rights of the Hong Kong Bar Association. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
