Tony practices both civil and criminal litigation, with particular focus on commercial, matrimonial, and securities and finance. In his civil practice, Tony has experience in conducting cases related to commercial (contract), company and trust disputes.
In his matrimonial practice, Tony has been appearing (both as lead junior and sole advocate) in hearings for first appointments, child matters, maintenance pending suit, preliminary issues for determination of property ownership, as well as ancillary relief. Tony has experience in applications for (and to vary) custody and access orders, as well as advising on various stages of divorce actions.
Tony regularly represents various parties in SFC investigations and is experienced in handling interviews with its enforcement section. He has also been instructed to advise and draft responses to Stock Exchange enquiries regarding transfer of shares and compliancing matters. Tony is also an Independent Non-executive Director of a listed company (8331 – HangKan Group Limited (GEM)).
On the criminal aspect, Tony is developing a white-collar practice in areas of fraud and proceedings brought under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Tony has also completed training as Prosecution Counsel-on-fiat, and has experience in mitigation and bail applications at various Magistracies and the District Court.
Fluent in oral and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Tony is comfortable with bilingual proceedings.
